Gremlin
Basic Information:
Gremlins are small, wiry creatures barely reaching knee height, with oversized ears, clever fingers and eyes that catch the light like a
cat's. They are not killers and they have no interest in blood — what a gremlin wants is shiny things. Buckles, buttons, coins,
spoons, a polished belt ring, a bit of broken mirror; if it glitters, it is already halfway into a gremlin's pocket.
They are superb sneaks. A gremlin moves through a camp without so much as disturbing the ashes of the fire, and you will never find just
one of them: they come in groups, they work in groups, and they keep watch for each other. Track them back to their hideout and you will
find the whole hoard — heaps and heaps of glittering odds and ends, sorted by nothing but how nicely they catch the light.
Gremlins can be reasoned with, which surprises most people. They will bargain, they will trade, and they will keep to a deal — but
the price is always shiny. Offer them coin or a bright trinket and they will take it over anything else you could possibly put on the table.
There is an old story that gremlins cannot stand water and will not go near it. This is complete nonsense, and anyone who plans around it
will lose everything shiny they own.
